Welcome to NWBC 2020!

Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference (NWBC) is a cooperation between RISE in Sweden and VTT in Finland. The conference gathers expert speakers from the chemical, energy, pulp and paper industry as well as recognized representatives from the global research community. NWBC 2020 is operated by RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Due to GDPR we would like to inform you briefly of how and what data we collect from anyone participating at NWBC 2020. Data security and privacy is very important to us and therefore we always try to limit the amount of data which we collect and also make sure to protect this data in the best way we can.

Digital interaction at NWBC 2020

When participating at NWBC, your first- and last name can be seen by other participants currently online. This is simply to increase the chances of interaction between participants while also making sure no one outside of the conference is participating. Depending on your own preference, you may use a personal photograph to go along with your name at NWBC but this is completely optional and requires you to contact alexander.hertzberg@ri.se with a photo.

When using our chat tool, we track your IP in order to see where in the world you are located but this is only to highlight the number of nationalities at NWBC. We do not track or store any private conversations which you have with other participants. The only conversation we store is the one called “global” that is used as a way to communicate with speakers during Q&A sessions.
